Cherry Night Stand

I wanted to do something a little different and I came up with this little night stand. It features a maple frame with a Tigerwood drawer, the rest is built out of Cherry.

I started out with the frame for the drawer, it is simply screwed and glued together. Once I had that done I turned my attention to the drawer, for this I hand cut dovetails into all 4 sides then cut a groove in the bottom to accept the drawer bottom.
Now it was time for the legs and apron. For the legs I decided to change things up and do a small amount of bent lamination. A leg was mocked up so I could bend wet strips over it. After the strips dried out I glued them to the finished leg sections. For the apron I simply attached them to the frame.

All done! There is also a secret drawer lock but that has to stay a mystery
